Below are the foundational supplements Crystal recommends for athletes and growing hockey players to support performance, recovery, brain health, and long-term development. These are not shortcuts. They are tools that help the body do its job better when paired with solid nutrition and training

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT

Develop the Player. Not Just the Drill.

Here you'll find Crystals top tips for every players development.

Player development is more than completing drills or learning individual skills. It’s understanding how each athlete moves, recognizing their individual habits and needs, and developing more efficient movement patterns through intentional progressions.

I believe in slowing movements down, isolating specific ranges of motion, and helping players understand not only what they’re doing, but what they should be feeling. From skating mechanics, edges, and movement efficiency to off-ice training and performance nutrition, each piece connects to the bigger picture.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach. The goal is to build the movement, not just complete the drill, and continue connecting those movements as the player develops.

The Power of being Coachable

Player Pillars

Attitude

Everything starts here. The way you show up, your effort, your energy, your willingness to learn sets the tone for your success on and off the ice. A player’s attitude is what separates good from great players.

Mindset

Growth doesn’t happen by accident. We build confident, resilient players who embrace challenges, stay coachable and trust the process, even when its hard. A player’s attitude is what separates Good from Great players.

Nutrition

How you eat impacts your energy, recovery, strength and overall performance. We focus on building habits that support players for the long run not just in the moment. Food is Fuel

Development

Real development takes time. We focus on long term growth and development, proper mechanics, and stacking small wins with fundamentals because that's what leads to BIG results over time players.

Off-Ice Training

What you do off the Ice shows up on the Ice. Hockey is faster and more demanding on player’s bodies.Strength, mobility, flexibility and stability and conditioning are non-negotiables for performance and to help reduce the risk of injury

Recovery

Recovery is where Growth Happens. What you do between sessions matters just as much as the work itself. Sleep, hydration, mobility and rest allow your body  to rebuild, repair and perform at a higher level. We focus on recovery habits that keep players healthy, consistent and ready to compete, because you don’t get better just from training…you get better from recovering from it. Recover well. Train better. Perform at your best.

6 Confidence Tips for Hockey Players

Tip 1: Earn your Confidence in Practice
Confidence doesn't "show up" on game day. It comes from reps, effort and showing up when you don't feel like it.
Confidence is built everyday, not just some days.
